Turning an Idea into a Reality

                  

I wanted something motivational for "my space" in my classroom, so I created another canvas with an  idea I had ...... using a quote I love!

My Venture into Mixed Media

I had no idea where to start when it came to mixed media, so I purchased an online course by Christy Tomlnson and away I went!
I wanted to create something'school themed' that was inspirational to display on the top of my bookcase at work. I got out my sketch pad and threw around some ideas and came up with pencil, school-house and apple and went from there, exploring with paint, texture paste, spray, stencilling,  stamps and rub-ons. (I knew there was a reason I kept hold of all those crappy rub-ons!) They are perfect for this style of creating.
I love how they turned out. Not bad for a first attempt! Now I'm looking forward to creating more!
